The vineyard from Fattoria Sant’Appiano are in a prominent position 280 m above sea level, the 17 hectares of wine facing south – west. The earth is mostly a sandy tuff but in some parts extremely hard like stone. The family Cappelli work the winery with dedication, love and respect for the landscape and ambience of the land such as the grandfather Dominico Cappelli had done, they have carried on his work in his tradition and have demonstrated that modern cellar technique with family tradition harmonises. The production and sales at the winery Sant’Appiano are directly managed through the owners themselves.
The Sant’Appiano winery is one of the oldest farm houses in the Chianti wine production over a half a century Sant’Appinao has been producing Chianti DOCG wine with excellent results for the vineyard. The wines today of Sant’Appiano are the results of years of experience, tradition and careful control when planting the vines also a unlimited love for the earth
